Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland national park is lying on the Czech – German border. The fairy-tale beauty of the place lies in several natural phenomena – incredible rock bridges and gates, astonishing sandstone towers and caves, mystical pine forests, romantic valleys and amazing lookouts. The entire park is full of exceptional opportunities for shooting remarkable landscape imagery. During our two days photography tour we chose the top 3 highlights of this region and we will make sure you return home with plenty of outstanding shots.
The first photography object will be gorges of the Kamenice River. We will board the wooden boat manned by ferryman and travel through the mystical canyon where at the end we will photograph fairy-tale like cottage reflecting in the river below.
The second location is incredible Pravčicka Gate which is the largest naturally formed sandstone arch in Europe. You might have even seen it before in the Hollywood movie Chronicles of Narnia. There are several individual viewpoints from which we will focus on creative compositions of the Gate and its surroundings.
The third location which we will photograph is located on the German side of the national park – Bastei Bridge. Impressive rock formation rising above the Elbe river is connected with a 76,5 m man made stone bridge built almost 200 m above the ground. Here we will focus again on creative composition as well as working with natural light and backlight.
