This book is the third volume (not counting the introductory book) of a series of universal textbooks for studying Czech as a foreign language. The series is titled Česky, prosím, which means "Czech please".
And the title of the series aptly describes what the textbooks are about: their unique feature is the format which requires no mediating language. Thanks to this communication-based approach, they are suitable for speakers of all languages.
The lessons cover all language skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. The book is accompanied by a CD with listening exercises.
The author has been teaching Czech as a foreign language at prestigious institutions since 1982.
The textbook series is based on Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This introductory volume corresponds to the European Certificate CCE level B1.
