Have a break from the city sightseeing and make the most of your winter visit of Prague. Enjoy cross-country skiing - the favourite winter activity of the Czechs! Don’t worry if you have never done it before. Your guide will teach you the basics and you will have plenty of opportunity to practice.
This day trip will take you from Prague to the snow-covered plains of the Jizera Mountains which is the perfect place for this winter sport, boasting an extensive network of well-groomed cross-country skiing trails. This is a great Prague alternative tour for all outdoors and snow lovers!

Difficulty
Up to you! It can be anything between super easy to very challenging. Training will be provided.
How to Dress
Similar to winter running. You will warm up during the activity, therefore it is important to dress in layers. You will be able to get changed and leave your belongings in a locker in the ski rental shop. Water-proof pants, gloves and a hat is a must. Skiing boots are provided as part of the ski set.
Logistics
Your local guide will meet you at your Prague accommodation at 8:00 am.
In case there are 2 or more parties, a meeting point will be arranged (detailed instructions will be emailed to you). You will travel by a comfortable bus to the resort of Bedrichov in the Jizera Mountains. The journey one way takes about 2 hours and includes one change in the city of Liberec.
After picking up the skiing equipment you will have some 5 hours on the snow. The tour includes a filling Czech lunch.
On the way back to Prague, you will visit Liberec, the 5th largest city of the Czech Republic and admire their beautiful town hall.
