My name is Filip and I was born and raised in Prague.
The Czech capital city can be overwhelmingly touristy. If you’re tired of the crowds in the Old Town, my tours offer a great alternative. I take visitors of Prague for half-day to full-day hiking trips to the most beautiful natural spots inside and outside of the city. In summer I add a canoeing tour and in winter a cross-country skiing day trip. Apart from my standard tours, I’m happy to prepare a custom tour for you. As a local guide I know the Czech Republic very well!

Hiking Tours in Prague - Exploring the Divoká Šárka Nature Reserve
This half day hiking tour is highly recommended to anyone who wants to have a rest from the busy city center and see a different side of Prague. It will take you on a pleasant, roughly 9 km/6 miles long hike in Divoka Sarka, the largest and most popular natural reserve in Prague. The route encompasses a wide range of terrain, from forests and rolling meadows to rocky ranges.
You will enjoy great vistas over rocky cliffs, walk along a serenely murmuring stream and in meadows and woods. In the spectacular landscape of Divoka Sarka, you will feel far away from the city. However, it is no further than 30 minutes by public transport from the city centre.
This tour is suitable for families, groups as well as for couples and solo travelers of all ages. The group size is not limited. If you require a private tour, get in touch!

Easy to Medium. The tour includes steep ascents to the lookout points and uneven terrain.
Logistics
Your local guide will meet you at 8:30 am at the metro A “Staromestska” station. From here you will travel by metro and tram for about 30 minutes to the hike’s starting point. During the journey you will learn from your guide more about the life in the Czech Republic.
The hike itself will take you on a loop around the most beautiful places in the Divoka Sarka. We will first walk up to a hilltop where an ancient hillfort was once located. Then we will continue walking along a pleasant bridle way. We can hop aside the trail to enjoy views of the rocky valley deep below us.
The next stage of the hike is a narrow footpath with some awesome views. You wouldn’t guess that you are so close to the city. We will slowly descent to the bottom of the valley and follow a creek for a while. Then up the hill again and very soon another magnificent panorama will open in front of us. The most stunning scenery comes at the end: You will walk up the stream through the rugged rocky canyon back to the tram stop.
Our journey through the park will take some 3 hours.
